HYPERBARIC
CYLINDERS AND WINDOWS
One of the specialities of Stanley Plastics
is the manufacture of seamless acrylic hyperbaric cylinders which were
pioneered by Stanley Plastics some twenty years ago. They are used in
hyperbaric medical techniques for the treatment of various conditions where the
patient is subjected to increased partial pressure oxygen therapy. The
cylinders are made to customer's requirements in diameter and length, and then
pressure tested.
MONOPLACE
This monoplace chamber is for one patient to lie down inside.
The clear acrylic surrounding tube helps to eliminate claustrophobia.
MULTIPLACE
As well as
manufacturing acrylic tubes, Stanley Plastics manufacture many various flat
acrylic windows for use in a wide range of steel hyperbaric chambers.
The following three
photos show a multiplace chamber seating up to 10 patients and has a combined
lock out end chamber to allow a doctor entry to the system whilst the main
chamber is kept pressurized. This was
manufactured by Drager and is in use at a clinic in Lubeck (Germany).
